Roles with the Meetings Industry Association

The mia is keen to support and drive initiatives in a number of key areas of very specific relevance and or value to the sector.

Representing the business meetings and events sector and the exceptional talent within it, the association is looking for like-minded professionals to support the role of the mia and the diverse range of services and support that is delivered to help drive standards across the industry. 

Alongside this ambition the association has a pressing need to address succession planning for the Board of Directors, ensuring a relevant, engaged, sustainable and active board of directors for the future.

It is with this in mind that the association has created a number of voluntary, board reporting, posts each of which will drive and or support the delivery of initiatives whilst working towards becoming a valued Board Director for the future.

The current posts are:


Director of Sustainability (Voluntary)

Each voluntary post will be an appointed position which will be offered the support needed to ensure that the association's Board of Directors will benefit from exceptionally talented individuals joining the Board of Directors, at the right point in their sector career, who have been mentored by mia Board members and undergone Board Director training.
