The Meetings Industry Association invites you to nominate winners for the mia Conference and Event Management Student Awards 2018.

 

The Meetings Industry Association’s Student Awards are back! The mia Student Conference and Event Management Awards are returning for the second year and nominations for your best students can be sent in now – just download the nomination form and get started.

The mia was established in 1990 as a recognised body for the benefit and advancement of the meetings industry. As the leading association in the industry, the mia is committed to continual improvement of quality and standards and is a steadfast supporter of the provision of education and training. The awards aim to recognise the talent and excellence of those about to embark on a career in the sector and are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students who have performed at the highest level at selected universities.

 

How the awards scheme works:

The mia student Conference and Event Management Awards are open to anyone who has completed a BA, BSc or MA or MSc. Educational institutions are invited to submit nominations for the undergraduate award and post-graduate award by 30 September 2018.

You know your students better than we do so for this year's awards, the mia defers to the institution to determine how the best students qualify - all you need to do is fill in the nomination form below and email it to rosem@mia-uk.org

The award prize:

The ‘One to Watch’ accolade will recognise an undergraduate and a postgraduate who has performed at a level beyond their contemporaries and displays an exceptional understanding of the industry. They will receive a £250 voucher to attend a wide range of professional development events offered by the mia as well as a framed certificate.

Those achieving an ‘Outstanding Undergraduate’ or ‘Outstanding Graduate’ title will receive a £250 voucher as well as a framed certificate to highlight their talent and potential for an extremely bright future. They will also be invited to the annual miaList awards with their course leader/tutor to receive their award and will receive a number of free places to attend future mia events as part of their ongoing professional development.

Please contact the Meetings Industry Association by email (rosem@mia-uk.org) to confirm your intention to nominate one Undergraduate and one Postgraduate student and to advise us when we can expect to receive details of your nominees. We look forward to recognising the achievement of your winning students.
