Connect Agent Events

Following the success and popularity of the first mia Agents Day in 2015, our connect events have grown significantly into well-established and highly sought-after networking opportunities that take place around the country.

The mia believes, and has proven, that it is essential to develop relationships at the highest level between venues and the UK’s top booking agents. The facilities and capabilities of venues, alongside the expertise and reach of agents makes for a very successful partnership in the meetings and events industry.

Connect Agents Days


The Agents Day provides a platform for a wide range of industry professionals to network with top agents in an unusually informal setting. The experiential event allows delegates to completely immerse themselves in an intimate series of discussions to gain crucial insights and ask agents any burning questions. It takes form as a full day event with refreshments, lunch and an afternoon of dynamic team building activities.

These events are always very popular; they’ve even trended on twitter!

Sample itinerary:

10am: Refreshments and networking

11am: Q&A panel session

12:30pm: 2-course lunch with tea & coffee

1:30pm: Team building

3:30pm: Drinks reception and networking

Connect Agents Dinners


The Agents Dinner takes place outside of regular working hours for busy managers and leaders of organisations operating within the meetings and events sector. The role of the booking agents is to connect with the delegates and initiate debate during dinner. The guests at this event will enjoy an extended networking opportunity over food and drinks. During the dinner, each table will be hosted by a different agent and the agents will move tables in-between courses.

6.30pm: Drinks reception and networking

7.30pm: 3-course dinner with wine

8.30pm: Tea & coffee and networking
