Board Directors are elected by the members.

There are 2 co-opted appointments these are the Company Secretary and the Company Treasurer.

Elected Board members support on a voluntary basis.

The Chief Executive is the only salaried member of the Board.

The mia also works with a number of industry leading professionals on a voluntary basis to support with the delivery of the associations strategy.

Our Board of Directors builds on the skills and expertise of industry professionals to help the association grow, develop and best support its members. As a board member you can play a vitally important role in furthering the objectives of the mia.

Every applicant for the Board must be nominated and seconded by two full members of the Meetings Industry Association.
