In the spotlight: Kieron Bowen, Eventurous

Tell us a bit more about Eventurous. How can the industry benefit from working with you?

Eventurous provide complete solutions for corporate events, conferences and team building experiences for businesses across the UK and abroad. We specialise in bespoke events that are innovative, creative and incorporate technology.

We’ve been delivering corporate events for over 30 years and are well known in holding the expertise to create events that always deliver on the vision of our clients.

Professionals within the meetings industry will know that successful meetings need to connect with each attendee to create a positive experience and impact – this is our passion and how we support the industry; by making sure that every event we deliver for industry professionals, inspires, engages and ignites to achieve exceptional results.

What is exciting you about the business meetings and events industry at the moment?

It is really exciting to see the varied range of event briefings we are receiving from a scope of clients, including high profile FTSE and blue-chip organisations. This shows that many businesses are seeing the value of investing in their employees and stakeholders. They are starting to embrace more experiential and immersive events that make strong connections with attendees. Having a wide range of event requirements allows us to provide a completely bespoke solution to meet those client briefs and find unique ideas that help to put across key messages that enhance each event.

What do you think are the greatest challenges the industry is currently facing?

We are finding that short lead times are a big challenge at the moment in the meetings and events industry. This may have been compounded by uncertainties around Brexit, with businesses waiting until they are completely sure about budget allocation before confirming their events. Of course, this then impacts on the whole supply chain, including venues, allocating resources and staffing, making it more of a challenge to identify the best value for the client, especially when event expectations are high, but budgets are restrictive.

How can Eventurous help the industry overcome these challenges?

To reduce short lead times, we work hard at Eventurous to stimulate the booking process early, proactively engaging clients and showcasing potential cost savings so that they can start planning events as early as possible… and reduce any potential stress! We also have a very experienced and reactive team to support our clients to overcome short lead times by developing creative and bespoke packages with a variety of options to suit client objectives, even with short deadlines.
