Event Summary

With the concerns surrounding the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19, it is clear that as an industry we need to react promptly and efficiently to minimise risk to business operations, to our staff and offer reassurance to clients. Fundamental to this is ensuring that we have a greater understanding of how to prepare for and overcome the challenges that the industry is already facing.

This half-day event, which is free to mia members, is designed to help venue and hotel operators understand the legal and social responsibilities and, if their venue experiences direct impact; whether from cancellations or as a result of experiencing the virus in their venue, to equip them with the knowledge to manage the potential for reputational damage, customer and staff concerns and ensure business continuity.

MIA Events - Coronavirus

The MIA is continuously monitoring the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation to ensure the safety of our event participants and staff.  We are following all recommended guidelines from Public Health England and UK Government.  All MIA events will take place as promoted unless their professional advice changes.

The safety and health of our attendees and our staff is our top priority, and to that end, we will institute numerous safety measures and guidelines in accordance with recommendations from Public Health England.

We particularly ask that anyone planning to attend that believes they may have been exposed to the Coronavirus, or who is not feeling well, to refrain from joining us for the safety of other attendees.
