An optimistic outlookby Jane Longhurst
For a start the sun is finally shining, and that’s not insignificant, but even more so is that the long wait for the Olympics is almost over and we can start to enjoy the opportunity to showcase the UK to the world. Furthermore, no-one can deny that the Jubilee has created a positive mood throughout the country. Summer 2012 is upon us, let’s make it count. The mia is opening up the channels it has to enable you to raise your profile. We feel it is particularly beneficial to AIM venues to have a chance to tell their stories and present their offers. For the past month or so, as well as posting your special offers on the AIM website, we’ve also posted them on the AIM Facebook page and linked to this via our Twitter feed. And the reach is growing. I’ll admit by many standards our social media presence, at around 1,000 followers, is fledging, but it all makes a difference and it is growing. The more we can make it relevant to what the industry wants, the more it will grow and attract the attention AIM venues and suppliers deserve, so keep sending your stories and special offers to us. Furthermore, we continue the relationship with popular industry news portal, myvenues.co.uk, to help promote AIM venues. Myvenues.co.uk are keen to tell your AIM story and so are we, let us know how you are using AIM. Let us promote you! Following the soaring success of the mia-List 2012, we are preparing to launch the 2013 campaign in June, it gives you more time to identify those inspiring people that make a difference to your service delivery every day. We’re raising the stakes and expecting the mia-List 2013 to be bigger than ever, there’s so many deserving people in our industry, competition is bound to be fierce, but there’s no better way to give the people around you the recognition they deserve, tell us why they should be on The mia-List. |
