After just one year as housekeeping manager, Sandra Dean has scooped a prestigious award for her work at Casa Hotel, Chesterfield.

Sandra, 46, from Chesterfield, has been awarded runner up for the AA Housekeeper of the Year 2012, an amazing accolade as she has only been working in hotels for three years.
Sandra became part of the Casa opening team in 2010 and was promoted to housekeeping manager after just one year of service.

Mrs Dean commented: “I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this accolade without the help of my team. We’re all extremely proud to work at Casa, and our fantastic reviews on TripAdvisor are testament to the hard work that we put into preparing every single room.”

This is the second award in as many weeks for Casa, having been placed in the Top 50 employers in Hospitality by Caterer.com and being shortlisted in the category for best employer in the Medium independent hotel category.

The award was presented earlier this month at St James’ Hotel and Club in London. Now in its fifth year, the award recognizes outstanding commitment and performance, identifying a housekeeper who goes above and beyond the call of duty.
