AIM (Accredited in Meetings) is the only meetings industry standard and is endorsed by Visit England, VisitBritain, Visit Wales, MPi and ABPCO.
One of the many benefits of joining the mia, is gaining AIM at entry level. A standard which all mia members are required to acheive.
AIM was developed to provide the industry and its buyers with a universally reconised indicator of quality for meetings and services. It is designed to improve standards throughout the UK and assist buyers in finding the very best venues, suppliers and services.
Now that you have acheived AIM accreditation, this gives you a clear marketing advantage over non AIM accredited venues and suppliers and membership of the mia and your acheivement of AIM clearly demonstrates a commitment to world class services and exceptional business principles.
Recent research carried out, showed that 76.6% of buyers would be influenced by AIM accreditation, when asked ''Could an accrediation scheme such as AIM influence your choice when booking venues''
The mia promotes AIM accredited venues and suppliers to buyers in the following ways:
Individual entries on two websites (www.mia-uk.org and www.aimaccredited.co.uk) which receive a combined total of 28,000 unique visitors a month
Entry in our annual 'Buyers Directory' & 'AIM Accredited Destinations Guide' which are both distributed to 7500 buyers, handed out to buyers at various trade shows & taken to all of our networking & training events
Including you in 'Solution' a newly launched free of charge venue & supplier finding service which is located on the home page of both of our websites
Presence at trade shows to raise awareness of AIM Encouraging buyers to attend our Networking Events
Sending monthly e-newletters to 10,000 buyers, one for our Destinations members to highlight what is happening in their areas, and also one for Venues & Suppliers to promote their news & special offers.

www.businessevents.visitwales.com The same applies to our Welsh members, all AIM accredited venues can be found at the top of search results.
