Sandy Park Stadium – Home of the Exeter Chiefs

It seems the on-field success of the Exeter Chiefs is helping boost visitor and booking numbers off it with demand and attendance figures at Sandy Park having increased in recent weeks following the club’s major success at Twickenham.

Less than a month after Rob Baxter’s side lifted English rugby’s top prize for the first time in the club’s history, so companies and organisations are looking to make the most of staging their events at the home of the newly-crowned Premiership Rugby champions.

Enquiries, bookings and footfall at Exeter’s premier conferencing and banqueting centre have all risen in the wake of the Twickenham triumph, much to the delight of Bev Gratton, Sandy Park’s Events & Sales Manager.

“Since the Chiefs won the Premiership, we have definitely seen an increase in business here at Sandy Park,” she said. “It’s great that companies and organisations – both local and national – are looking to align themselves with the success story of the Chiefs and Sandy Park.

“Having the chance to stage events, dinners and meetings with the backdrop of Sandy Park, the home of the English rugby champions, is proving a real attraction for a lot of people.”

With businesses and organisations keen to work outside of their normal, every-day environment, the chance to position themselves in line with the country’s top rugby team is proving a real hit with clients.

“A lot of the people who use Sandy Park like the fact that the facility offers something different,” added Bev.  “Not just in the fact that we have stunning views of the stadium and the local countryside, but also that we have a number of spacious rooms and boxes, all of which can be adapted for whatever needs the clients have.

“Over the last year we’ve carried out a huge amount of work to improve not only the facilities we can offer to all of our guests, but our team has worked extensively to ensure the whole customer experience is second to none.”
