Specialist hospitality marketing and PR agency Custard Communications has been appointed by The Meetings Show ahead of its sixth edition in June 2018.
Following an intensive pitch spanning four months, the Woking-based integrated communications agency will commence work raising the profile of the premier three-day international event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings, conferences and incentives industry on 1 July 2017.
Reporting directly to Centaur Media’s marketing manager, Chloe Modaberi, and the show’s event director, Steve Knight, during the next 12 months Custard will contribute to the direction of the annual show that takes place at Olympia. They will also focus on building a year-round presence as well as increasing visitor numbers and driving return on investment for exhibitors.
Chloe Modaberi said: “Custard Communications was the stand-out agency for us. We were extremely impressed with the creativity of their strategic plans as the ideas literally jumped off of the page at us. We were also struck by how confident their team were too, which is important to us.”
Steve Knight said: “On the back of another successful event, we’ve once again delivered the most diverse range of exhibitors for the meetings industry, cementing our position as the ultimate meeting place for the sector. I’m looking forward to working with the talented team at Custard Communications to deliver an even bigger show in 2018.”
Petra Clayton, managing director of Custard Communications, said: “We are delighted to secure The Meetings Show contract against stiff competition. It was a tough and very visionary brief, but we know we’re equipped to deliver it thanks to our extensive experience gained working with the Meetings Industry Association, the QEII Centre and the Westminster Venue Collection as well as other leading industry trade shows.”
Custard’s contract with The Meetings Show follows hot on the heels of other recent client wins this year, which include the Malvern Hills retreat The Cottage in the Wood, The Petersham Hotel in Richmond, Surrey and Whittlebury Hall in rural Northamptonshire.
