The Meetings Industry Association (mia) is collaborating with The Meetings Show 2017 to bring industry professionals together to meet new and existing buyers throughout the three-day show.
Taking place from 13-15 June at London’s Olympia, the mia will be hosting the AIM Pavilion and inviting its AIM accredited venues, suppliers and destinations to showcase their businesses and services to the industry.
This year’s event will be bringing together over 3,000 industry professionals under one roof, from event managers and agencies to the corporate, government and public sectors, as well as personal and executive assistants who are able to attend a fully-hosted buyer programme for free.
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “We are delighted to be working with The Meetings Show again. The show always provides a great opportunity for us to meet with buyers from across the industry face-to-face and find out about both their current challenges as well as the opportunities for the year ahead.”
She added: “Our presence at the show also provides us with the opportunity to spread the word about our work; promoting operational excellence and business planning underpins much of the activity we undertake. In particular, we’ll be giving venues and booking agents the opportunity to sign up to receive a synopsis of the annual results from miaTouchstone – our online research tool that allows you to identify trends and customer preferences as well as benchmark your performance against your competitors.”
AIM accredited venues, suppliers and destinations who will appear in the AIM Pavilion include The HAC, Bournemouth International Centre, Lane End Conference Centre, Roehampton Venues, Destination Southampton (Hampshire Conference Bureau), Staffordshire Conference Bureau, Britishairways i360, Grand Harbour Hotel and Heythrop Park Resort.
