Well Met, the conferencing office at Leeds Beckett University are delighted to announce that they will be the host of the PA Hub Venue Showcase Leeds #VSC17LDS on Wednesday 3rd May 2017, 6pm – 9pm.
The PA Hub Venue Showcase is one of the UK’s premier networking events organised exclusively for Personal Assistants. This free to attend event is an opportunity for assistants, secretaries and other administrative staff to meet with local venues and businesses – all under one roof. With 34 leading exhibitors attending, the evening will be a showcase of the very best of the hospitality industry in Leeds. Taking its place in what was recently voted the fifth best city for conferencing in the UK, the PA Hub anticipate around 100 guests will be making their way to the event hosted at Leeds Beckett University’s Rose Bowl.
Located at the centre of Leeds, The Rose Bowl features the very latest in modern conferencing amenities, design and AV. This state-of-the-art academic venue offers an abundance of breakout facilities, meeting rooms and dining spaces; with meeting rooms for up to 80 people, auditoriums for up to 256 delegates and banqueting for up to 300 dinner guests, plus an additional 25 rooms suitable for training meetings and conferences out of term time. With a dedicated event manager on-hand to assist from the initial enquiry right through to the post-event briefing, Well Met can confidently host a seamless event at the Rose Bowl.
The evening will begin with guest speaker, Kerry Dawson proving a talk on ‘The importance of being Social’. Having recently secured the post of Service Administration Officer in the Marketing department at Leeds Beckett University, Kerry has over 20 years of experience working within the industry. The talk will be a whistle-stop discussion of how social media can be used to promote events simply and effectively. Winning the Best Social Media PA Award at the Yorkshire PA of the Year Awards 2016, Kerry is a whiz when it comes to social media and a real advocate for continuing professional development through various social media platforms.
