Inspired by Earth Day, this year on 22nd April, BMA House have decided to hold their very own Health and Sustainability Week, from 18th-21st April.
Sarah Bright, Head of Events at BMA House says: “At BMA House we make a consistent effort to make our events as healthy and sustainable as possible but we really wanted to do something a little extra this year. “In the events industry, there are lots of small things that we can do to make a big difference, for example having your morning coffee in a keep cup not a takeaway cup, using responsibly sourced food and reusing or upcycling collateral after an event.”
“We have created a week of activities and demonstrations dedicated to health and sustainability, to really drive home the crucial importance of this message.”
The week of events will include a Health Day, Recycling Day, Sustainable Food Day and an Energy Day.
The team will also be running a ‘take the stairs’ initiative, encouraging staff to give the lift a miss and walk up the stairs instead. Pedometers will be given out to see who clocks up the most steps by the end of the week.
Other events will include a talk on recycling and how to do it right within the restaurant, as well as a demonstration from in house caterers Ampersand, on how to use leftovers to make fun and exciting meals.
BMA House is a Grade II listed venue located in Bloomsbury offering a range of 29 spaces for up to 320 guests, for everything from evening dinners to summer garden parties. This includes two magnificent outdoor areas – the Courtyard and the Garden, all within easy walking distance of both Euston and Kings Cross stations.
