Effective communication, strong leadership and the importance of good teamwork –are some of the themes in the keynote address at the forthcoming Meet Cambridge 2017 – Exceptional Experiences events which will be showcasing venues for meetings and conferences in the city and beyond.

Natalia Cohen, part of an all-female team to row across the Pacific Ocean and set two new world records, will address event organisers at Jesus College’s new state-of-the-art West Court facility on Wednesday 26th April.

Organised by Meet Cambridge, the official free venue-finding bureau for venues in the city and beyond, the day will start with a breakfast networking meeting, followed by the keynote speech and then an interactive Q&A session with a panel comprising Emma Thornton (VisitCambridge & Beyond), Jonathan Brecht (Cambridge Network/Cambridge Ahead), Rose Padmore (ABPCO) and Ben Cole (Inspired), chaired by renowned meetings industry professional, Richard John.

This will be followed by a chance to network with representatives from participating venues and then onto one of the eight locations for lunch.

The evening before – Tuesday 25th April – there will be a showcase at the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre, when delegates will be invited to ‘Go Beyond’ Cambridge on a tour to discover venues new to the Meet Cambridge portfolio and to find out how meeting at the heart of scientific discovery can add an exceptional experience for a conference or event. There will also be an opportunity to meet with representatives from other regional conference and event spaces and enjoy relaxed networking drinks and canapés.

Kelly Vickers, Director of Meet Cambridge says: “This is a great opportunity for event organisers to see what is on offer both within Cambridge and beyond in terms of venues for meetings, conferences and private dining. We have incorporated lots of different elements to make the events as inspirational and enjoyable as possible, with a few surprises along the way!

“We are very grateful to Jesus College, our participating venues, our panellists and of course Natalia, for their help in working with us on Meet Cambridge 2017 to showcase the city and the region as an exceptional events destination.

“We’ve already had an excellent response from event organisers and we are looking forward to meeting everyone at one or both of the events. For more information and registration details please use the following link:
