EEF Venues has appointed Katie Bolshaw as assistant operations manager at the group’s flagship conference venue, Woodland Grange, in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

Katie has joined EEF Venues from Ashfield Meeting & Events where her role involved delegate and logistical management for international events, working on a dedicated account for a leading pharmaceutical client with global reach.

Prior to that, she was assistant manager at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth in Warwickshire, where she managed the daily challenges of this busy hotel while undertaking a degree in Business, Strategy & Management.

Commenting on her appointment, Ian Chaplin, general manager of Woodland Grange, said:  “Katie’s appointment is part of our on-going strategy to support and enhance the client experience at Woodland Grange. It’s about providing additional support and direction to our operations team to ensure synergies between all departments within the venue so that the customer experience is seamless.

“Katie has the advantage of working on events from both an operational and from an agency perspective so she brings that insight with her to this new role. Her international experience, sound business acumen and great communications skills make her an ideal fit with the team at Woodland Grange.“
