Jesus College is enhancing the expertise of its Conference & Events team with the appointment of Rachel McElroy as Conference and Events Assistant.
In her new role, Rachel is dealing with all aspects of event organisation from initial client enquiry and site visit through to ensuring everything runs smoothly during the event itself.
She is also working on the many different types of events held at Jesus College, including residential conferences, one-day meetings, drinks receptions, dinners and weddings.
Previous roles have included working as a Director’s PA at gardening specialists Dunster House in Bedford.
Rachel says: “I have wanted to start a career in events for the past year and am really enjoying learning and developing my understanding of the whole process, from the initial planning stages to the conclusion of the event. Already I have spent time with the kitchen staff and front of house team to see at first hand how it all works.”

She joins Jesus College at a very exciting time as we await completion of our new West Court Development next Spring, with our multi-functional Lecture Hall equipped with the latest communications technology, dedicated events space, café, terrace area and basement bar.”
