Whittlebury Hall Conference, Training Centre, Hotel and Spa Director Michael Stott was delighted to join the other VIP guests witness David De Gea claim Manchester United player of the year prize.  Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea cemented his place in Club history, becoming the first player to claim the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award, for a third consecutive season.

Other winners included Marcus Rashford under 18s player of the year , Anthony Martial’s debut goal against Liverpool at Old Trafford won the Goal of the Season, whilst centre-back Chris Smalling won the Players’ Player of the Season which was presented by Club captain Wayne Rooney.

Arguably the biggest winner at the event 2nd May 2016 was the Manchester United Foundation, during the annual event, more than £96,000 was raised for essential funds for the charity to continue working with youngsters

Michael Stott added, “Whittlebury Hall were delighted to attend the event and support the Manchester United Foundation auction, helping to raise funds for such a good cause”

Auction prizes of sporting memorabilia and VIP events helped raise the funds, whilst the evening was also capped off by entertainment from beatboxers Duke and Simon Webbe, former member of boyband Blue.
